Hosted by the Nassau Community College Center for Catholic Studies, the following is a recording of the conference "Catholicism and Economics," held April 4th, 2009. This event was hosted by Dr. Joseph Varacalli, head of the Center for Catholic Studies, and included the participation of Mr. Thomas Storck (Distributist position), Dr. Charles Clark (Socialist position), and Mr. Michael Novak (Capitalist position). The event began following an homage to the life-long contributions of three recently deceased pro-life advocates. Each speaker was given an opportunity to expose their respective economic positions, followed by an exchange, and final summary. Immediately following the debate, Dr. Stephen Krason professor at Franciscan Steubenville, addressed the audience from the Solidarist economic thought of Fr. Heinrich Pesch.
